Pulsar® Uses Feeder Technology for Optimum Chlorination

Commercial pool companies follow strict regulations to prepare and maintain pools for their customers. Chlorinating a public pool is typically the main focus of these companies. Most of the maintenance duties for public pools are simple, but they can be very time-consuming. Commercial pool companies are looking for ways to reduce the amount of time that they spend adding chemicals to their water. Most companies use industrial chlorine feeders to help maintain their pools.

Pulsar® Systems has created Pulsar® Plus Briquettes, which are chlorinating tabs that have a unique shape. These briquettes are capable of laying closer together inside of a feeder, reducing the gaps between tabs and reducing storage space that would normally be necessary for other tabs. With the Pulsar® Plus Briquettes pool managers are able to put more tabs into a feeder at once, which means that a feeder does not have to be filled as often once the tabs have eroded.

Pulsar® Systems does most of its business with commercial pools companies, and the company has learned what pool managers and owners needed to efficiently chlorinate or shock pools. With this information, Pulsar® Systems began building feeders which would make pool maintenance easier and more reliable. Pulsar® feeders have a Programmable Logic Controller which allows the pool manager to control how quickly the tabs are eroded by adjusting the water inlet of the feeder. On the days that a pool does not receive as much patron activity, a pool manager will have more control over how much chlorine is allowed into the pool.

This special feeder technology has been created for pool managers and commercial pool company owners in mind. Pulsar® feeders can also control organics, treat metals, and boost hardness. The system is easily installed within a short period of time, which means that patrons will not be halted from enjoying the pool because of a lengthy installation of a new feeder. These feeders have been built with a strong emphasis on efficiency and reliability to assist with time management and relieve some of the struggles of pool maintenance.
